After suffering a heart attacking and stroke in October 2007, at the age of 46, the right side of my body became alien to me. Diminished sensation and power limited a once active life. Soon after neuropahic pain and sadness set in as I developed a pronounced limp and stoop. Acupuncture treatmet complimented mainstream pain medication to straighten my spine helping me face the world again. In recent months I ceased the pain medication and with the aid of Edgecliff Acupuncutre had the strength and drive to start a light weight-training program. The combination of exercise and acupuncture assists me in managing the neuropathic pain, whilist still walking tall and straight, helping me feel like I inhabit my whole body once more.

My husband and I had just about given up on having a baby, when my friend suggested I look at some Eastern treatments for infertility. I really didn’t want to resort any kind of IVF solution, or anything invasive, so a more natural method appealed to me. We had nothing to lose and everything to gain. We found Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney and decided before going to our first appointment that we would whole-heartedly commit to this “last ditch effort.” Noam’s consultation was truly eye-opening. We discovered we had been unknowingly sabotaging our chances for conceiving with our diet, social patterns, and stress levels. Why didn’t anyone tell us this information before? He also started us both on an herbal regimen. After cleaning up the areas of our life that were possibly contributing to our conception trouble, we actually started the acupuncture treatments, and yes, we both participated. I noticed a difference right away in my energy level and attitude. I began to feel a sense of calm about conceiving. It seemed to stop being this unattainable goal and felt like a natural progression for my body. My husband noticed a difference in his sex drive and vitality, too. Our efforts to conceive stopped feeling desperate and started feeling…well, like it was working! Miraculously, we found out we were pregnant seven weeks after starting treatment with Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney! I still receive treatments to keep everything running smoothly, I still take my herbs, and I doubt I will ever stop acupuncture now. It just gives me a sense of wellbeing that I have never experienced, and so I feel healthy, confident, like life takes much less effort. It’s hard to describe, but I know it will help me be the best mom, the best wife, the best version of myself. THANK YOU, NOAM!!!

After four years of trying to conceive, and two failed IVF attempts, my husband and I were convinced we would never have a baby. Our doctor advised against a third treatment; she said there was no reason to think our chances would be any better than before. The emotional toll this exacted on both of us was devastating. I became obsessed with reading people’s personal stories and experiences about infertility to help me deal with the pain of being unable to conceive with the man I love. I found a thread where women were discussing Chinese medicine and acupuncture and how it relates to fertility. Could this be a glimmer of hope? I searched for acupuncturists in Sydney, and found Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney. After perusing the website, my hopes were steadily rising, but my husband feared putting us through another painful attempt at getting pregnant. I made the appointment, and once we spoke to Noam and saw the results for ourselves from other patients at Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney, he became hopeful as well. We would give it one more shot. We got on Noam’s IVF program of herbs and told our doctor we were going to try one more time. I wouldn’t be putting all of this into words if we had failed a third time, so let me just say the treatment plan, the herbal regimen, the help, love, and support provided by Noam and his staff at Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney brought us through the most trying time of our lives with astonishing results. The gratitude I feel for what he was able to do for us humbles and overwhelms me to tears some days. I look at my son and know exactly why he is here: because Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney healed our bodies and minds, supported us at every step along the way, and gave us hope when there was none.

Why can’t anyone help me??? This was my mantra when I suffered from severe migraines. I had all the classic symptoms, becoming completely debilitated when I had an episode. I experience no more pain or migraine symptoms since coming to Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney. Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage – these natural methods have succeeded in healing me when the strongest pain-killing and preventive drug cocktails just made me more and more sick. Noam’s method for diagnosing my symptoms was amazing. I felt like I was getting a personal approach, rather than a fix-all treatment. He asked a thousand questions no one had ever bothered asking me before and tested my response to different types of stimuli. Migraine pain and symptoms vary a lot from patient to patient, so how can there be one good way that works for everyone? There can’t. Just knowing this made me feel better. The acupuncture relieved the surface symptoms right away; I mean immediately. Getting the blinding pain to subside for a while gave me a renewed outlook and helped me manage the treatment regimen Noam suggested for me. It was completely customized to suit my particular symptoms, and it not only stopped my migraines dead in their tracks, but gave me increased energy, a more positive attitude, and a healthier body and mind. Noam at Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney is now my “primary physician.” His methods have made me feel better all over, inside and out.

After suffering with stomach ulcers most of my adult life, I just assumed there was nothing more to be done. I stayed away from “danger foods,” took a regimen of pills to keep ulcers from forming, and treated flare-ups with yet more pills. Stress level was a factor for me, and so I stayed away from anything too emotionally taxing. Basically, I always felt “blah,” even when not suffering with an ulcer. My wife urged me to try something new…not an easy thing for a bloke, I know. She’s a bit Bohemian, into natural remedies and such, so she made an appointment for me at Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney. I said, “Acupuncture? I don’t know, darl…” Then I met with Noam. After a VERY thorough evaluation, he told me the trouble was not necessarily in my stomach, had nothing to do with spicy food, and was most likely an imbalance in my spleen and probably in my liver as well. Well, I had never heard that before. “Let’s do it,” I said. He said my organs needed a kick-start, so he provided me with an herbal regimen and suggested I combine acupuncture with something called moxibustion. First thing I noticed was my energy and attitude picked up, just with the herbs. Also, I had no attacks after beginning the herbs. When I went back in for the acupuncture and moxibustion, I could feel an instant wave of relief, like something perked up in my organs, like something that had been bogged down inside my body was finally flowing freely. Noam said this was my Qi. I is hard to describe, but you know when you are hot and thirsty, and you drink a cold glass of water, and you can actually feel the sensation of the cool water trickling through your body? That is what it felt like. Now, I’ve no more ulcers, I eat a healthy diet that includes tasty spices, and I am a huge fan of Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney. I don’t HAVE to go there anymore for treatments directly related my former condition, but I still do and so does my wife, for our general health and wellbeing.

I was a die-hard smoker for life. Then I met this wonderful woman…who didn’t smoke. Somehow she fell for me too, and I proceeded to try to QUIT SMOKING. I went through books, patches, gum, inhalers, etc. I was not going to take those pills that make you crazy, so one night, while looking for answers, we found Edgecliff Acupuncture Sydney online. I called the next morning. First thing, I got on an herbal plan that really increased my energy levels. Then, I had a total of six acupuncture treatments with Noam, three fairly close together and three spread out a bit more, and now? I can’t stand cigarettes. It’s not like I have to KEEP myself from falling off the wagon, I literally hate the things – the way they smell, the way they taste, disgusting. I cannot believe I was ever addicted to them. The weirdest thing about this life-changing experience is they never asked me to quit smoking at any point during the treatment. They just gave me specific activities, tips and tools, and dietary suggestions that helped limit the feeling of withdrawal. In the first week, I had little points I could press in my ears if I ever felt a strong craving. Pretty soon, there were no more cravings. It is true that I had a really good reason to WANT to quit, and you definitely need to WANT to quit. But, if you are here, that means you probably do WANT to quit. Noam’s methods are the only ones that even came close to working for me, and they worked like gangbusters. Now, we are both getting familiar with all the other remarkable things acupuncture can do for your body, and I feel healthier and happier than I ever have before. My girl agrees ;)
